Dr Param Sandhu: Life on the Brink – a Retrospective
It was a joy to welcome Dr Param back to Durham and on even better form, delivering a masterful presentation with wit and humour yet with darker messages about “Man’s betrayal” of the endangered tigers
It was very apparent he has a deep passion and love for tigers. He knows them by name and revisits the jungles and reserves again and again to see how new generations of cubs are doing. By the end, the entire audience was enraptured by these gorgeous, magnificent apex predators – from their “Lovely” paws to their shoulder blades, to their individually unique stripes and markings
His photography just gets better, capturing the beauty and elusive behaviour of tigers in the wild as we’ve never seen before. And frequently from low viewpoints (even from the backs of elephants!). As for the balletic sequence of two young, near adults play fighting … magic!
Param’s Wildlife of India exhibition at the Joe Cornish Gallery in 2016 was reported here
Param is on Facebook here
And his website is here
