Club Night News: 31st August

DPS Photographic Adventure, Durham City

Members enjoyed yet another practical photography night in the month of August (when we used to close) following the four highly successful DPS Memorial Summer School nights. On top of which, by the end of the year, DPS members will enjoy as many as 45 club nights with a superb array of guest speakers and competitions, 10 practical Digital Nights, 10 challenging Assignments outings and 7 SNAP n CHATS – that’s 77 in total (we only close Christmas and Lumiere weeks!) and soon many will be enjoying the Jeff Teasdale Lakes Weekend

Thanks everyone who organised and took part

DPS Annual Exhibition: Treasures of the North

A crack DPS Crew took down the exhibition this morning after a wonderful run during August in the North Aisle. The reaction of the throngs of visiting public has been very positive with hundreds of positive messages in the visitor books (we will publish as many as we can soon)

Print sales were good with proceeds supporting the Cathedral and the Society. Members receive enough to fund replacing the prints though many are donating their share also

Many thanks to the Cathedral Staff, our organisers led by Mike Boult, all members who acted as stewards, the set up and take down crews, the photographers and appreciative public

We’ll be back!
