Special Photography Day, Durham Cathedral: today 12th May!

This is a unique opportunity for visitors to photograph the interior of the Cathedral where the vast Nave has been cleared of pews and seating for the filming of a new Marvel Avenger movie over several days, now concluded

For one day only on Friday 12th May, visitors to Durham Cathedral will be able to take photographs of the interior of the Cathedral before the seating is replaced on Saturday.  Photography permits can be purchased for £5 for use during 9.30am and 4.00pm (last sale at 3.30pm).  They are for use in the Nave and will allow visitors to capture images of the Cathedral’s huge pillars, glorious stone vaulted ceiling and the Rose Window with a floor clear of furniture

Permit holders can enjoy a 10% discount in the Undercroft restaurant on the day
